Who is responsible
The operator's name, business address and contact email will be shown here before any paid product is offered and before this site stores any personal data. Until then the site stores none: the email sign-up described below is switched off.
The free check
To run the check we send the map point you tap, and the outline under it, to planning.data.gov.uk, and the postcode you type to postcodes.io. We do not store the point, the postcode or your answers once the check is shown. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs for security and to keep the service running.
"Email me when it launches"
If you ask us to email you when the Project Report launches, we store your email address, the postcode district (the first half of the postcode) and the date. We use them only to send that one email, then delete them. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Reports
If you build a report, we store the address you type, the plot you selected, your answers and the results, so the report link keeps working. Unpaid preview reports are deleted after 30 days. Retention for paid reports will be set out in the report terms before it goes on sale.
Cookies
We set no advertising or analytics cookies. One functional cookie is used only for testing reports before launch.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
